Talent Show!
Eric Harvie is hosting a talent show, but not in the traditional sense. We would love to see your talents through video format. This is a great way to see talents that can’t be performed in the school as well as those that can. Please film your talent and add it to the Google folder Talent Show 2024. Please understand that anyone with the link can watch the videos in the folder. If you would prefer to transfer the video directly to me please use WeTransfer.com and use the email address jabaine@cbe.ab.ca.
The deadline for talent show submissions is: Jun 19, 2024. It would be great if your child could introduce themselves and their talent. We will be watching the videos in our classes throughout the last week of school.
Thank you so much for your support, this is going to be so much fun!

Staffing Updates:
As Eric Harvie is a growing school next year, we are thrilled to welcome a few new faces next year! The spring staffing process is still underway, but we wanted to share a few upcoming additions to our teaching staff. We will be providing a full list of all changes later in June.
Arriving to Eric Harvie School in teaching positions for next fall:
Karah Chilton: Karah comes to us with many years of experience. She has worked in many buildings with her last school being Sunnyside School. She brings a wonderful enthusiasm and an expertise in literacy that we are excited to see come to life in our building! Welcome Karah!
Laura Hall: Laura also comes to Eric Harvie with a diverse set of teaching experiences. We are thrilled to add her knowledge and skills to our staff. Laura has taught many different grade levels and is currently at T.B. Riley School. Welcome Laura!
Andrew Lawson: Andrew is a new, yet familiar face at Eric Harvie. Andrew was previously at EHS during the 2019-20 school year and is excited to return. Andrew has a great calming presence in the classroom and has a strong desire to support learners to grow and develop new skills. Welcome Andrew!
Lauren McEachern: We are thrilled to welcome Lauren to the EHS team! Lauren comes to us from University Elementary and has many years of experience and knowledge to bring. We are excited to have her voice added to our incredible staff. Welcome Lauren!
Erin Ulveland: Erin is a welcome addition to the EHS family. Erin comes to us from William D. Pratt school and brings her vast expertise and love of teaching. Welcome Erin!
While there are still a few additions and possible opportunities for movement ahead, we are at a point where we can announce some of our staff that is moving on to new adventures next year:
Natalie Cox will be pursuing her Masters’ of Education degree over the next school year. Natalie has been a huge part of Eric Harvie School since the opening 8 years ago. While she is planning to return to the CBE the following year, she will be going on to a new adventure at a new school.
Sandy Campbell will be pursuing a career outside of the CBE next year. He has been a big part of Eric Harvie School’s staff over the past few years and we will miss his wide range of skills and his caring support for kids.
Letitia Turner joined EHS for the past 4 years and has supported many grade 3/4 learners with great care and enthusiasm. She also had the unique opportunity to teach through the HUB online school model during one school year - she adapted to many challenges! Letitia has successfully applied for a Learning Leaders position at Brentwood School.
We will be providing more updates in next week’s Connect and will be wishing “Farewell for now, Friend!” to all of our staff that are moving on to new adventures during our year-end assembly on June 27th.
