One of the first steps is the registration process for September 2024. Starting on Monday, January 15, the CBE registration system will be open for new registrations from K-12. The majority of our new registrations are at the Kindergarten level, so you will find more information on our Kindergarten Registration page:

In January, progress in ELAL and Math will be communicated to parents/legal guardians via the report card. In June, progress in all discipline areas will be communicated to parents/legal guardians via the report card.
EHS Swimming Field Trips
At past EHS School Council meetings we have had discussions with parents about what types of learning experiences they feel are important for their children to have during their time at Eric Harvie School. Many parents have agreed that a swimming program through PE is a helpful way for children to get exposure to a vital life skill of being comfortable around water. As a result, the School Council puts a significant amount of fundraising dollars to supporting bussing for this activity.
We are also highly dependent on parent volunteers to support this swimming program, as we require support to take on the endeavor of getting 58 children ready to swim and then changed back and ready to learn in the shortest time possible!
Our first group to go swimming will be the grade 1/2 classes the week of January 29th. Here is the link for signing up for supervision:

Please also ensure you have a valid police clearance registered with the CBE and complete the volunteer form for this trip.
The most important part of having your child take part in this activity is the permission and swimming ability forms. For grade 1/2 learners we are needing these returned by Tuesday, January 16th at the latest. We are required to send these on to the pool staff for making appropriate groups.
Our Kindergarten and grade 3/4 classes will have their swimming opportunity on the week of Mar. 4-7. Please save the date for volunteering and more information and forms will be coming closer to that date.
