EHS School Enhancement Society Casino Fundraiser

A message from our delightful EHS School Enhancement Society:

We are seeking 36 volunteers for our upcoming casino fundraiser event on December 9 and 10, 2023 at Pure Casino (near the airport). Our last casino event raised $67,000 for Eric Harvie School and supported the purchase of new technology, sports, art, science, and literacy materials as well as numerous special events and learning opportunities for students.

Please come join other parents for a fun night of volunteering. Volunteers get free food and drinks (non-alcoholic) during their shift and it is a great way to meet other parents at the school. No experience is required and you will be provided training when you show up for your shift. To sign up, use the link below:

EHS School Council Family Dance 

The Eric Harvie School Council and Enhancement Society is putting on a family dance at the school on Thursday, October 19 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Thank you for the amazing response…they have filled all the available spaces! A limit on the number of attendees was required to still meet fire code requirements. A few opportunities to be a part of the event are still available through volunteering:

Fun Lunch Optional Donation 

Thank you everyone who made a donation to the Eric Harvie Parent Council through the fun lunch/fun snack order form. Any donations put through on fun lunch/fun snack order will ONLY be used to purchase snacks and lunches for students who may require financial support in order to participate. If you have any questions, please let us know. 

Allen Donsky Presentation

The Eric Harvie School Council has arranged for a wonderful presentation for all parents from renowned child psychiatrist Allen Donsky. The presentation will take place on November 30th in the evening. More information around time and how to register will be in the weekly connect closer to the date of the presentation. 

Art in Motion - E-Motion Dance Residency

Eric Harvie School is pleased to be welcoming in Jennifer Mahood starting on October 10 to lead a month long dance residency. Ms. Mahood describes the program as, “Working from an integrated brain-body approach, Art in Motion’s E-Motion program provides a fun and safe opportunity for building emotional literacy, empathy, and regulation skills through tangible dance-movement activities.” We are looking forward to this great learning opportunity to help our learners develop new movement skills and emotional regulation skills.
