Remembrance Day Ceremony
The Eric Harvie Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held Thursday, Nov. 7th at 10:40. The Grade 5’s will be hosting the ceremony and the Grade 4’s will be playing the chimes. Families are welcome to attend. We will be accepting donations, monetary or non-perishable food, to the Veteran’s Food Bank.
Peace Ambassadors: Veteran’s Food Bank Drive
The Eric Harvie Peace Ambassadors are starting a food drive for the Veteran's Food Bank between Monday November 4th and ending Thursday November 7th next week at our Remembrance Day assembly.
The Peace Ambassadors have set a goal of 700 items for our school!
If you have a few non-perishable food items to share, please send them with your child next week. Peace Ambassadors will collect the items and count them each morning. We will also accept items when family come to attend the assembly on Thursday.
If you prefer, you could send a small cash donation which will be donated to purchase things like dairy, meat, fresh fruits and vegetables. If you would like a receipt you may make your donation online at the link below.
The Calgary Veteran's Food Bank supports our veterans and actively serving military as well as first responders here in Calgary. You can learn more about it and see a list of needed food items at this link:

Child Well-being Series
The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join us in a pre-recorded and live online series focusing on child and youth well-being. These sessions will be hosted in partnership with experts from Alberta Health Services and Recovery Alberta and will explore topics such as Peer Pressure, Healthy Relationships, Mental Health for Highly Sensitive Teens, and navigating Parent-Teen relationships.
