Supporting Families During the Holiday Season 

We have greatly appreciated the amazing kindness you have shared through Families Helping Families already! We even had one family that elected to not exchange gifts with their extended family this year and opted to donate to this initiative instead! The families from Colonel J Fred Scott School are always so appreciative of this support!

If you are able to provide any “last minute” items…for any of the families on any of the class lists…it is truly appreciated! Information below:

Please read through the list of needs and wants for your family. Some families have many kids so please make sure to scroll along the spreadsheet. If you are in a position where you can support a family and see an item you would like to contribute, that is very appreciated. We are not looking to buy every item on the list but we do want our families to get some of their needs and wants. Please ensure that the items contributed are new.

Steps:

1. Read through the list for your child’s class using the links below
2. If you have bought or already have a specific item put a “Y” next to the item on the spreadsheet
3. Wrap and label your gift. Please write the first name of the person receiving the gift on the label.
4. All gifts will be due on or before Dec. 16th 2024.

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, the staff at Eric Harvie School would like to thank EHS families in advance for their thoughts and contributions. Thank you for helping to make someone’s Christmas a little brighter!

“Flakes” Choir Performance

A sincere thank you to all the learners and their families that made the choir performances so wonderful this week! It was great to see so many children shine in performing and taking on a new challenge. 

We are also very thankful for all the time and energy that Mrs. Coulson, Mrs. McLean, Mrs. Mask and parent Tracy Johnston put in to helping this process and event be such a great success!

Lost and Found

• We had some success during the Parent Teacher interviews but we are hoping for a few more items to be picked up this week 
• Parents are welcome to come into the school before or after school to take a look, or even better…empower your child to go look for their own lost stuff too! 
• We will also place the items out for families to look for items during the choir performances.
• Please don’t forget to label items - this helps them to be returned to their owners much easier. 
• We will keep these items at the school until December 20 and then will be donating unclaimed items to a charity.
