Re-Entry this week

We greatly appreciate all the support families have provided for a smooth re-entry into classes this week. Our learners were very excited to get back into their learning and many staff members remarked that it was a very quick turnaround to get back to routines and usual expectations.

The CBE is working collaboratively to help ensure that teachers are able to focus on the key goal of classroom instruction. This looks a bit different at different age levels of school, such as a delay on sports teams restarting at higher grade levels. At Eric Harvie School, the next few weeks will be focused on meeting the individual needs of our learners and on developing learning tasks that focus on the core concepts of each subject area. Some adjustments will occur in the coming weeks across the CBE, such as some changes to the report card timelines. We needed to cancel an in-school Physical Education residency that was scheduled during October, however, we are not anticipating many other changes to scheduled learning experiences or field trips. We appreciate your support and patience as we focus on effective classroom learning in the coming weeks. 

Remembrance Day Ceremony

We invite families to attend our Remembrance Day assembly on Friday, Nov. 7 at 11:00 am. 

In a similar situation to schools across Alberta, we will be having a bit of a scaled down ceremony this year due to the limited number of days to prepare. We are still pleased to invite you to attend if you wish, as this is always an important day in our school community to honour the sacrifice of others for the peaceful country we are proud to live in.
