Dear Parent / Legal Guardian, 

Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents / legal guardians / independent students are required to complete or review and update, some of which are paper and others online. 

 

Important | These forms are a legal requirement from Alberta Education and Childcare for funding purposes. If forms remain incomplete, it may result in a reduction in funding for the Calgary Board of Education. 

 

In CBE, the forms in an online format (SchoolEngage) are: 

  • Demographic Verification - 2026-27 – This required form is an Alberta Education and Childcare requirement as proof of Registration for funding purposes and includes your child’s personal information as well as parent / legal guardian contact information.  
  • Citizenship Information Update - 2026-27 – This form becomes available and is required to complete if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form. 
  • Annual Authorization - 2026-27 – Combines the following forms: 
    o School District Use of Personal Information - explains how CBE uses personal information in providing education services. 
    o Consent for CBE Use of Student Information – provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by school/district and third parties. 
    o Consent for Use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups (Third Party) - provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by outside groups and third parties 
    o Consent for Student Participation in Annual CBE Surveys – these surveys support school and system planning and help improve programs and supports offered to students 
    o Parental Opt-In for Notifiable curriculum for students in grades 3 to 9 – written consent of parents prior to providing instructions or materials that deal primarily and explicitly with human sexuality, gender identity or sexual orientation. Students are unable to participate in this portion of the curriculum unless consent is granted. 

SchoolEngage is one of the applications found in your MyCBE account. This is the same account used to pay fees, view academic information, book school conferences, register to volunteer etc. 

If you do not have a MyCBE account, click Create a MyCBE Account on the MyCBE page. For online help, refer to MyCBE - Creating an Account (includes instructions and a video). 

 

 

To complete these forms: 

1. sign in to your MyCBE account 

2. click on the SchoolEngage icon 

3. select the form 

4. complete or review and update the form 

5. click on Submit to send the form electronically to the school 

6. repeat steps 3-5 for each form 

Please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms in SchoolEngage for your child as soon as possible as they are not past due. These forms are mandatory every year for Alberta Education and Childcare to confirm student funding.

A limited number of yearbooks are still available for purchase for $25.00 each. If you would like to purchase one, please visit the school office with exact cash.

EHS – Parent Council - Halloween Party 2026  

The EHS Parent Council would like to invite you to our Halloween Party! Wear your costume and come dance and play with your fellow EHS learners. 

We're excited to welcome back Candy Man Cory; he'll be on site spinning cotton candy during the event. 

Please do not drop your learner off and leave; parental supervision is required for the entirety of the event. 

Due to fire code restrictions, the party will be capped at 450 people. TO ATTEND THE DANCE, YOU MUST RSVP. If you are not on the list, we unfortunately cannot allow you in. 
If you RSVP yes but in the end aren't able to attend, please update your RSVP to allow others to sign up. 

While this event does not require payment to attend, an optional donation would be greatly appreciated. We suggest $5 per family. All monies raised at the event will first go towards paying off this event. Remaining monies will go towards the Parent Council to help finance other initiatives such as supplementing field trip costs, teacher appreciation, additional school supplies and technologies, etc. 

Families have the option to pre-order their dinner from Papa Johns through the Healthy Hunger app. Instructions to do so will be included in your confirmation email after signing up. 

We will be selling glow sticks, Bubly, water and juice boxes. This will be cash only please.

Come Volunteer With Us: 

We welcome volunteers in the classroom, on field trips and with certain tasks at school or at home. Certain activities or field trips would not be possible without the active participation of our volunteers.  

As a CBE volunteer, you are placed in a position of trust with students, staff or property.  All adult volunteers require a valid security clearance - no exceptions. 

Guest speakers or visitors to the school, and parents assisting their own child only are not considered to be volunteers, and do not require a security clearance.
